Privacy
No JOStocks account or advertising trackers. The app does not ask for your name or contact details to run and contains no advertising, behavioral analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
Some operational information is processed. Optional notifications send a device token, license credential and notification settings. Market-data, news and hosting services receive ordinary request information. Support and license arrangements involve information you supply.
Your records are not all anonymous. Device tokens, IP addresses and license records may identify or be associated with a person. The sections below explain their use.
Activation and license checks
Your activation code is a license credential. On Apple platforms it is kept in the system keychain where available. Routine license checks download a signed file and compare the credential locally with one-way values in that file. They do not send your code, watchlists or notification token. The downloaded file is identical for all users.
The hosting services process request information, including your IP address and the requested resource. A code or its derived license value can be associated with separate license-administration records held by the Operator. A random credential is not a guarantee of anonymity. Never publish or share your code.
Device storage and iCloud
Watchlists, configuration, alert state, price targets and accuracy history are stored locally. The accepted terms identifier, app version and acceptance time are also stored locally. Supported watchlist and alert settings, including price targets, synchronize between your Apple devices through your own iCloud account. JOStocks does not receive that iCloud record.
API credentials are stored locally and excluded from this synchronization. They are transmitted to the issuing provider to authenticate the requests you enable. Do not enter brokerage passwords or credentials with trading or withdrawal permissions. If you connect Positions, the Webull authorization token stays in this device's Keychain; imported stock holdings, filled orders and your cost ledger stay in local, backup-excluded files. They are not included in watchlist or alert synchronization. Removing the app does not necessarily remove keychain items, other backups or iCloud records.
Optional notifications
Enabling any server-delivered alert category registers your installation with the JOStocks notification service. The registration includes:

Registration does not include API credentials, accuracy history, brokerage accounts, balances, positions or order history. Optional Positions reads remain on your device. The service stores registration and related delivery state to operate and troubleshoot notifications. Apple processes the token and notification payload through its Push Notification service; network and hosting providers process the traffic involved.
To withdraw a registration, turn every alert category off on that device. Removal takes effect when the service successfully receives and processes the request. An offline or failed request may delay it. Other devices stay registered until withdrawn separately. Uninstalling the app, disabling system notification permission or switching off just one category does not necessarily remove the server registration. Previously queued notifications may still arrive. Contact support if you need deletion confirmed.
Economic releases, earnings and price targets
Economic notifications use public release calendars and figures, without additional personal inputs beyond your registration preferences. Earnings reminders use the watchlist-symbol union in your registration. Price-target notifications use the target definitions listed above. These categories are server-delivered in connected builds; they are not exclusively local features.
Widgets, Live Activities and lock-screen visibility
Widgets and Live Activities can show selected symbols, quotes and Trade states on the home screen, lock screen and Dynamic Island. The app stores a shared local snapshot for its extensions. Live Activity quotes are updated on-device without a separate JOStocks quote-push registration. Apple controls permitted execution and display behavior.
System surfaces and notification previews may expose this information to anyone who can see your device. Choose their visibility in the operating-system settings. A live quote does not mean a displayed Trade state has just been recalculated.
Market data, news and external links
The app requests public prices, charts, options, calendars, news and instrument lists from data providers and publishers. They receive ordinary connection information and the instruments or queries requested. Requests may include a randomly generated request identifier, provider session cookies or API credentials supplied by you, as required by the relevant endpoint. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices.
If you explicitly connect Positions, the app also requests your Webull account list, US stock and ETF holdings, open orders and filled order history through Webull's official API. Webull receives those authenticated requests. JOStocks does not send the returned account records to its notification service.
Selected Daily, Weekly, Monthly and YTD trade P&L reports can be shared as images. The app prepares the report on your device and opens the system share sheet only after you press Share. The image includes the selected period, symbols, results and history coverage status, but omits account identifiers. The recipient or service you choose may retain the image under its own practices; sharing does not happen automatically.
The app also requests shared market-climate and economic-news documents from JOStocks services, including when notifications are off. These download requests do not include your activation code, watchlists or notification token; the service and its infrastructure still process ordinary request information such as IP address and requested resource.
Opening a news article or external link connects to the publisher or service in your browser. Its own cookies, tracking and privacy policy may apply. JOStocks does not control those sites. The absence of tracking in JOStocks is not a promise about a linked website.
Website, support and license administration
jostocks.com contains no JavaScript, advertising trackers or analytics scripts and does not itself set cookies. Fonts and styles are hosted with the site. Its content-security policy restricts script execution. Hosting and security providers process network addresses, requested pages and other connection information to serve and protect the site.
Selecting an email link opens your mail application. If you send a message, the Operator and its email service receive your email address and the message contents. License and support correspondence may also contain the information you provide for administering access, documenting agreed terms, responding to requests or resolving disputes. Payment or distribution platforms process their own transactions under their own policies.
Do not email passwords, activation codes, API secrets, brokerage credentials or unnecessary sensitive records. Where service providers process information, they do so in connection with delivering the service, subject to their applicable arrangements. Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with law, respond to lawful process or protect legal rights. This notice does not guarantee immunity from a security incident.

Retention by Apple, email, hosting, data and payment services is governed by their applicable practices and your settings. No universal immediate-deletion promise is made for records outside the notification registration or outside the Operator’s control.
Privacy requests
You may contact support to request access, correction, deletion or other rights available under applicable privacy law. Describe the record or service involved. Proportionate verification may be needed to identify your record and avoid disclosing or deleting another person’s information. Do not send secrets as proof of identity.
The Operator will address requests under applicable law, including required response periods, retention exceptions and complaint rights. The absence of a JOStocks account does not eliminate privacy rights in identifiable operational or correspondence records.
Children
JOStocks is intended for adults at least eighteen and of legal contracting age. It is not directed to children. Contact support if you believe a child has supplied personal information so the matter can be reviewed and handled under applicable law.
Changes
Changes to app data practices will be reflected here and in the in-app Terms alongside the relevant release. Material amendments to the Terms require renewed app acceptance. Additional notice or consent will be obtained where applicable law requires it.
