Support

Questions, problems and license inquiries all go to one address, and they are answered by the person who wrote the software.

Please say which platform you are on (iPhone, iPad or Mac) and which version the app is showing — the version is in the header of the terminal, and quoting it saves a round trip. A screenshot is worth more than a description almost every time.

Activation

Every client is issued an activation code with their invitation, entered once on first launch. It is stored on the device and, as set out on the privacy page, it is not sent anywhere unless you switch on alert notifications.

“Verifying your access” and “Could not verify”

The app confirms a license is current by downloading a small published file and checking it on the device. It keeps working for fourteen days after the last successful check, and says so plainly throughout that period, so a temporary loss of connectivity is visible well before it has any effect.

If either message persists on a working connection, get in touch. It is more likely to be something at our end than at yours, and it is quick to check.

Alerts and notifications

Alerts are off by default and are switched on in the app's own Alerts panel. Each category has its own switch and turning one off leaves the others running.

Price targets

A price target notifies you when a symbol reaches a level you set, above or below the current price. Two kinds:

Price targets are evaluated on the device rather than by the notification service, so they continue to work exactly as set whether or not the rest of your alerts are being delivered remotely.

Going away

Rather than switching four categories off and hoping to remember all four, set a pause with an end date. Everything is suppressed until that moment and then resumes on its own, so the silence cannot outlive the holiday. The pause travels with your notification registration, so it is honored by remotely-delivered alerts as well as local ones.

Reading a cell

Selecting a cell in the grid opens the reasoning behind it: what spoke for the call, what spoke against it, what stayed silent, and how the symbol sits against the rest of the watchlist. The panel names every input by name, so the place to look is there rather than here. Two things about it are worth knowing in advance:

Market data and symbols

Prices and related information come from public endpoints and the software holds no exchange subscription: readings can be delayed, incomplete or briefly unavailable, and a provider changing or withdrawing an endpoint can interrupt coverage without notice. If a symbol shows no data for an extended period, please report it — that is usually something that can be fixed.

For futures and B3 symbols the options-flow, capital-flow and news-sentiment inputs are not published at all, so they stay out of the reading — the full price and volume side still runs, and the cell says so.

Installing and updating

Clients are invited to install through Apple's distribution and update automatically from there — nothing needs to be downloaded or replaced by hand.

If an app stops launching and asks to be updated, that is an install which has aged out rather than a license problem — the two look identical from the outside and are not. Get in touch and a fresh invitation will be sent.

Devices and syncing

On Apple devices your watchlists and alert settings follow you between your own devices through your personal iCloud account, so a symbol added on the iPhone is on the Mac shortly afterward. That synchronization is Apple's, under the Apple ID already signed in on the device; it goes to your iCloud account and nowhere else. Any market-data API credentials you supply are excluded and never leave the device they were entered on.

Ending a license

You can stop using the software at any time. Deleting it removes it from your device; switching alerts off withdraws your notification registration, and the providers then hold nothing further about you. The grounds on which a license can end, and the notice you will receive first, are set out in §3 of the terms.

Reporting something that looks wrong

Readings that disagree with your own chart, notifications that arrive at the wrong time, or anything that simply looks incorrect are worth reporting even when you are not sure. A client comparing a notification against a real calendar is how a dating error in the economic calendar was found and fixed — it had been wrong for every client, and nobody else had said anything.

Please include the symbol, the timeframe, the time it happened, and a screenshot where you can.
